the o2 supposedly needs the resistor and cap, ... like this:

What Richard gave me has 1 x wire coming from each end. The resistor looks the same, but mine has 3 x red stripes.

You only need the resistor for the uppipe fix.

Pat,

1. Locate uppipe
2. Locate EGT sensor in uppipe
3. Locate EGT sensor connector
4. Remove EGT sensor connector from sensor
5. Take connector (attached to car) and place 1 lead of resistor in each of holes (female ends) found in connector.
6. Tape to stabilize/locate resistor and waterproof connection.
7. Either disconnect battery to clear code, or run car through 3 normal drive cycles and kiss that CEL goodbye!
