ok, first, I never F*cking said there were No good things about it. Shet, I could have exhausts-systems-R-us make a downpipe that would have benefits b/c it has no cats.
Doesn't throw a CEL?? maybe not for you right now, but other people are getting CEL's for cat ineff. right now with the pde.

And most of you got it b/c it was at a STORE right here. There are Plenty of other downpipe's that are readily available that have a bell housing design. And you can buy the BPM from the used classifieds, and

my point was, IF you're going to spend money like that, why get something "of lesser value"?? I just like to spend my money a bit wiser. but like I already said, this is JUST MY OPINION

Oh hey, ... I just thought of something. The PDE might make for a good start on a custom downpipe with an external dumping wastegate!
Hmmmmmm.......

No need to get all bent out of shape. I agreed with your first post, but I don't agree on your second post in which you said and I quote "a total waste of your money". Its not and thats my point.

BTW, your still a guru IMO, I just differ in my opinion on this subject and no amount of defensive jibber jabber will sway it.

According to the Gruppe-s picture the Helix looks good, hope it fits.

My only opinion on this:

The PDE's O2 sensor it a ***** to get on and off.

My TXS o2 is easy to get to.

yo,

ok, here's my $-.02 if anyone cares because i sure ain't no guru but...

i have the pde downpipe and right now i'm happy with it so far.
it didn't give me any cel's(my unichip does though), got rid of the cats, and hooked right up to my greddy exhaust plus it was sold here locally. for the power i'm putting out right now with the stock turbo, it's fine.

if i would have known that i would be getting an upgraded turbo then, i would have gotten something else. like the guru(nolimit) said, there are other downpipes that are better designed. i personally would like to get the bpm mkIII in the future but thats going wait awhile.

this is JUST MY OPINION!

I only got it because Mach5 told me to.

Anyhow, the PDE uppipe is giving me a cel (cat ineffic). I didn't add that before because mellow didn't ask.

Richard,

I'll be honest. I don't have the foggiest where it goes.

It's still in my little electronics box.

The only thing I found on the internet was for the O2 sensor in the dp. I would have to cut the sensor wires and the resistor I saw had 2 x wires coming from both ends.

Where would it go?

the rear o2 needs something a little more sophisticated then just a resistor. The EGT though can get by with just the 2.2k resistor.

check out the subaru manual for wiring info. you can just tap into the ecu harness or stick the resistor in the plug in the engine bay(although I dont recommend that)
