oil change at a 1,000 miles

I am using the OEM filters and I changed my oil as such:
1000: Mobile 1 Synthetic 5W-30
4000: Redline Synthetic 10W-30
8000: Redline Synthetic 5W-30
1000: Mobile 1 Synthetic 5W-30
4000: Redline Synthetic 10W-30
8000: Redline Synthetic 5W-30

don't go to synthetic at 1k miles. Put oem oil in at ~1500 and go to synthetic at about 3. the reason is that byt 1k the car is not completely broken in, and synthetic is not good for break in. At 3 its safe.

anybody use Wix filters from Parts Plus ? i think braun (waipahu subaru) told me that they're the makers of oem filters now instead of purolator... can't remember.. as i'm doped up on caffeine in portland right now... be back in a week
