Talking oil catch tank

Hey guys... Just got my new SARD oil catch tank today ... though the instructions are in Japanese they have some pictures...

I know we've gone over this numerous times before regarding oil catch tank installs but when I look at the pictures it doesn't resemble any type of oil catch tank install that I've seen

here's a picture from the instruction manual... Any help would be greatly appreciated...I know that this is technical and should be in the technical forum but i thought I'd ask local help first... I'll also post this in the tech forum later...

according to our japanese advisor here at work... I'd have to disconnect the exsisting hose on the 90° bent line and replace it with the small hose that came with the kit.. then put a pipe increaser to accomidate the 15mm hose and connect it to the right side of the tank.

next take the hose that I just took off and add a pipe increaser and connect it to the left side of the tank...

Any thoughts on this?

i don't get it, wha's your trouble? those are nice pictures/instructions.

it appears that the hose sized into the can is bigger then the factory hose, so they supply you w/adapters

I'm glad I saw your pics because it confirmed what I did too. At first it looked very confusing. Seems to work ok, I've had it on for a while. There is some oil in the lines but not enough in the CC to read on level hose.

hehehe this is a confirmed way to install a oil catch can on a GDA/GDB impreza... I wasn't sure just like you but after seeing your install and confirming that someone else had used this method I was relieved...

Also since it came from SARD it's gotta work
