yup, damn hippies always start sh*t. just like when our C17 unit first made a landing onto the big island, there were a lot of anti-bush/military protesters and guess what?....mostly hippies!! one of them asked me with an aggressive tone, "why do you what you do?" i rolled my eyes and said, "so you can have the freedom to stand here and say what you just said to me, otherwise you'd be killed.", and continued working.

It sucks that some stupid asses managed to stop the superferry this way, based on a technicality. Leila and I just came back from a week long vacation on maui using the superferry to transport our car, it was a great experience ( well aside from the whole 10-15 foot waves part ) I really don't think it has much to do with the enviroment as it has to do with local interests like shipping companies who have some of their profits taken, and hippies who moved in, but don't want others to move in and "ruin" what they have. (even though they basically did the same ).
