Question Noob Need Advice

i just wondering: i want to keep my 7 yr warranty, want to mod some, prob stage 2 cobb plus BOV. i have a 4e at 03 wrx. could i get a catback and not throw off CEL's/ECU? i think i read some stuff that all i have to do is reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery? does this work?

mind u, im just a daily driver, not for track use because im lazy and busy, but enjoy my subie.

You should never get a CEL with just a Catback..

what satin said.

and any mod makes it possible for the dealer to void a warranty on your car. doesn't mean it will 100% happen, but you take that chance when modding. Any change in power could be blamed for a broken tranny, i think, but if you're window breaks from installing a catback, they shouldn't hassle you for it.

well the BOV/ cobb stage two will void your warranty. If you don't drive it on the tracks you need no more power. Save your money for some 87 octane gas! If you really want to do something to your car sell the 7 year warranty, and then buy some parts with the check they give you.

Hey, nice to see another 4EAT on the board. Hey, I don't go to the track but I enjoy adding more power to my baby. Stage 2 will void it definitely... I'm still debating whether to void it or not.

The part you install has to be the cause of the defect most of the time for them to void your warrenty. They are not going to void your warrenty if you install a catback and your windows stop working...

Do as many mods as you can....Keep all your stock parts....If your car poops out put on all the stock parts and re-flash to stock. Simple solution

hey.. w/ more power does it eat more gas???
i'm curious as to what mpg u guys get w/ the mods, as well as a monthly cost of just gas? w/ the way gas prices seem to be going up, it makes it harder for me to own a scoobie...

but just curious..

good luck..
