newcomer to oahu
Hey all, I am somewhat new to subaru's, i heard that most subaru owners in hawaii are on the site, and i will be moving there soon, to schofield barracks. I just had some concerns about some future mods and how they will affect me out there. like, i wanna do a catless exhaust, and im just concerned about how the traffic cops are there. i mean, are the dickholes about it, or do they pretty much leave you alone until you are stupid. i am currently in tn/ky and they really dont bother you here at all. i have heard there is an awd dyno there, does anyone know the name of the shop so i can research them?, if theres anything else ya'll can think of that i need to know, just shoot it at me. i sure appreciate any heads up you can give me. thanks
You can run a straight pipe as long as you stay out of Waikiki, and the AWD dyno is at RAD's Motorsports. However, there are not tuners here except Reid-o ( send him a pm ) or, we also fly in mainland tuners every now and then.

kool, thanks. my car isnt slammed, i have the sti springs on it, and the tint isnt bad. and im running a catted 3" invidia tbe, so sounds like i will be fine, ima popo in the army so hopefully that will keep me immunized from too many tickets. so, i here the natives there arent to accepting of the military? how trues is this? i mean, do they really treat military badly? i have a friend coming with me who is from hawaii, so hopefully i get with the in crowd, besides, i kinda look like a beach bum, blonde hair and blue eyes, nice tan, wow i sound like im writing a profile on a dating site. lol.

Haters gonna hate, not much you can do! There are way more cool people than haters though, so I wouldn't stress it too much.

and stay away from Waikiki as mentioned.
