Hey i will be getting an exhaust made this weekend and was wondering where to start it. should i begin at the downpipe, or behind one of the cats? any advice would be cool. thanks.

go behind the cat just in case you decide to get down pipe, than maybe look into access port or some sort of tuning.

IMO you are better off buying a divorce or bell mouth design down pipe instead of having a custom one made. the stock down pipe is restricted in two places. one the cat and two the dp design is a solid plate that blocks the waste gate flapper and is forced to combine with the exhaust immediately.

if money is an issue buy used lots of people do it.

That's what I did. I have no cats or resonator also. I love it, but it might be too loud of a set up for some.

i have a custom CBE, i love it, it is a 3" exhaust with a 2.5in. collector . then i got the Bosal divorced wastegate down pipe, and gutted the stock 2nd cat. its loud!

got it done today. john sent me over to rad cause he doesnt have the setup yet to do exhaust. so it was kinda hectic cause rad called back when i was at john's and for some reason thought i wanted crush bend. told them no i wanted mandrel bend but they weren't setup on the machine for 3". so they took some pre bent pieces and put it all together from the cat back and got a blitz nur spec r muffler. the car sounds really nice now. i love it. i just want to find any reason to go and drive now. really have to say best mod yet, by far.
