Unfortunately, there's no "local" Protuners here. Back in September, a bunch of us arranged to have PDX Tuning come down and tune some of our cars over a 3 day period. PDX Tuning Days part II is coming up in February, but all the slots are filled already. I'm sure there will be a part 3, but not too sure when. By the way, welcome to Hawaii.

let me advocate that the PDX maps that Jarrod makes are very very good. My car was reading stoic on the wideband just with the mail in map, so it would be good to use one till you can get a tune day maybe next time around.
Welcome to the Islands... I don't think I've ever seen a Spec B on Oahu.

Hey man... i saw your car the other day By the infiniti dealiship.. im guessing thats where you work.. anyway yeah my car isnt here yet.. hoever my tax return is.. im going all out... i just need to find someone who can tune it via access port.. my mod list if your interested is gonna be
FMIC, 750cc injectors, Walb 255, short ram intake, 3" catless turbo back, FP 18g, and an access port.. and i know if i run a generic map the car is gonna produce about 1/2 the potential.. anyway.. i will see you guys @ the first meet after my car gets here...

actually its an 07 spec B. and it has quite a few miles on it.. so the warranty is about to go out on it anyway so i figure i will just go all out.. well as out as i can go on a 4000 budget
gotcha. I'd say get a cobb AP for now, and have it tuned when a tuner comes to town. There are several tuners that members here have used. I personally am running a 93 oct race (used for auto-x and daily) map tuned by PDX tuning. Others have used AMS with good results.

how long does those pdx maps take to get here in hawaii? is it in cd form?
i have a used AP ver1 and ever since i put it on i felt like the car ran slower?? like maybe its in safe-mode or something. its at stage2 and i am getting a boost gauge in the mail soon, but when i used the ap boost gauge it seemed to top off at 12ish. i dont know if my expectations are too high or what but it seemed quicker when it was stock. i hoped the pro tune could remedy it but slots arer hard to come by.. so my question is could i try a mail order pdx map to see if that helps or is there a easier solution you subu-vets can suggest?
tia!
