This is my rant about tech support
Why is it that the people who hire tech support find the STUPIDEST people in the world to answer the phone.
So i had to call verizon wireless today, becuase their website locked me out of adding minutes to charlie phone.
SOOO, i spent 10 mins going through there automated system and finally got a human being. GREAT! I thought finally not the run around.
So this guy proceeds to read his scripted speech about "how can i help you, blah blah blah". Well I tell him my problem and we proceed to fix it. He tells me to log in so i can add money. I go to log in and it still tells me i'm blocked out. So he tries it and it works. So he tells me to close out the page and close out my web browsers and start it up again. Im thinking "ok well i can kinda see why i might do that" i also deleted my cookies and so on and so forth. When i try again and it fails i even switched web browsers to see if it hated mozilla firefox. When IE even failed he told me to TURN OFF MY COMPUTER?!?! and restart it and it would fix the problem?!?! HELLO?!?! I even knew what the problem was. it was blocking my IP address and turning off my comp isnt going to give me a different IP its only going to **** me off. So i told him it wasnt going to fix it. He was like "well im not saying your computer is bad ma'am im just saying it will help" I was like look, do you have a 24hr lock out program?" He said no. I explained the problem and told him id fix it myself.
So much for tech support i had him add money via phone so i can try and fix the account on another computer with a DIFFERNT IP address.
i quit.
