my ACT stage one was installed the time when my turbo was put in...about 2 years ago...it has approx. 14000 miles on it and as of this morning at 3AM on the H1 going townbound right before the kinau cutoff my car would not engage in any gear...good thing i had a friend with me and we've manage to push it the rest of the way to my appartment with the help of a police officer...

i don't know what happened and why my clutch died so quickly....we were coming back from walmart and i can feel my clutch slipping BAD...when in 5th gear...anything over 3000RPM it would slip...and in 4th gear anything over 4000RPM it would slip...i guess when i was crusing at 50MPH at 5th gear it was already slipping little by little ultimately dying on me later...now my car sits in my garage and when i shift it into gear in 1st the clutch doesn't touch at all..the RPMs does't even drop at all....even in reverse...

that night totally sucked cause my friend had to tow my car up my parking structure with his tow strap...and my whole car smells like burning clutch....

 

sorry to hear that man. i hate the smell of burning clutch, cuz it means i did something wrong.

 

Do you track the car in any way?? But if you don't, wouldn't there be some type of warrenty on such a popular clutch?

 

that was a big problem with act clutches that i've read about on 25rs.com people were getting around 15-20k miles on an act clutch

 

Bummer dude. At least you get a new clutch out of the whole deal!

at least you car worked for a bit. when i had my supra i drove to the gym then got back in my car i couldnt even get out of the stall i was in. now i know its possible to tow a car out of the hawaiian brians parking lot.

 

WTF! Died already. maybe its from friday nite dude. Aiya, sorry to hear this. I think we abuse our cars kinda bad that nite, my freaking alignment is off too.

my clutch started slipping about 3 weeks ago...it started from 5th gear at high RPMs then it slowly spread to 4th gear...1st, 2nd, and 3rd all went last night driving from walmart....i never thought it would die out completely in just one night...

and no we weren't racing on friday night..just doing some AWDriving up Tantlus...i go up every other night...
