Well, just put in 5qts of Amsoil. I only took a light drive, so this really doesnt mean much, but it seems like the car pulls a tad bit smoother, but then again this could be just due to the fresh oil.

Regardless, Amsoil just seems like good ****, higher quality then Mobil1, and on par, if not a little bit better, with Royal Purple (I used to use RP on my old civics).

Apparently Mobil 1 is pretty horrible oil...well from the stuff I've read all over the net. Not like it matters anyways because it's not like Mobil 1 is so special that you HAVE TO run it or anything.

I use Valvoline Full Synthetic because they actually post everything they add to it and I've read enough stuff to think that its good.

Amsoil, RP, Redline, etc. all seem to be not worth the extra cost...kind of the "I spent more money on this so it is better" kind of thing.

i have nothing but good things to say about mobile1 i know there still a GF4 rating which is top of the line. Tho i do know that they will be switching to a GF3 rating soon and then i will be looking for a new brand of oil.

I ran Royal Purple when I had the wagon, but honestly, I doubt I could/would be able to tell the difference if I switched.

I run Valvoline full synth in my race Miata - 5W-40. Good stuff, quieted my lifters a lot and eliminated a hot tick I got with regular Castrol and a synth blend.

I will try the Rotella stuff for the next oil change.

I really want to try rotella T on my next one (hence the poll). I hear good things about valvoline full synth as well. What to do, what to do......

On my other forums, it seems Mobil1 has a stranglehold on the marketplace.
On Yarisworld(not my poll), 48% of the users chose it.
