im not a big subie kinda guy but my guess is that if you were to get some real sticky kine tires and you are driving a manual shift type car, the Clutch would take most of the abuse if any, it will not hurt much, but everytime one of you guys run the 1/4 i always smell the clutch burning either way, so, i dont think it would be a really bad idea to try some slicks on the rear atleast. if not Drag radials all around

with a stock or slightly stronger than stock clutch, sure. But our trannys suck so bad that a lot of aftermarket clutches are strong enough to bust em up.

Man! Chris. You have any idea what sort of power you're making? According to one of those calculators, you pulling 386....and you're untuned? GollyMoses, I can't wait to get home. I'm planning on heading to St Louis to see Ron the first chance I get.

Which heads do you have on right now?

Which turbo? Did you keep the SR50 you had?

yeah chris, is there a thread that's dedicated to just the stuff you've done? I've been gone for quite a while and I was wondering what you ended up with. I know before you and I talked about plans... but it was only plans...

I'm using the Vishnu hybrid GT30-15 turbo. I was using 92 octane Shell-V and boosting to 24.6 psi. I was also running rich at 10.1 afr at peak boost with no sign of knock, via txs tuna.

I can't really do much tuning other than boost. My Utec crapped out on me.

I'm currently using the stock WRX heads and won't upgrade until I max its current potential. I was told by a few engine builders that high 11's are possible with what I'm running now. I will continue to attempt it with 92 octane.

For the wheels, I have Advan RGS 17 x 8.5 wrapped with pzero nero, which are balding.

I'll start a list of what I've done as of now and also, a list of possible future plans. Doms, I'm not sure if I'll follow through. I'll be leaving soon and my priorities might change once I come back.

Thanks for the tips, guys!

hey Chris, are you going out to the strip again anytime this week? I leave next weekend, so it'd be cool to see you run before I leave.

Howzit Sean,

I'm actually at annual training at the moment, but I'll go if they let me off on a track night.
