HRP tonite

Hey guys it was good that I could finally meet some of you tonite at the track. I finally have a face for some of the sn on this board. I feel I did pretty good tonite considering I went from a 15.1 two months ago to a 14.42@95mph I'm finally learning how to launch the car correctly but I still need practice and more mods!! Laterz!

Nice to meet you, man. with that MPH, you have a few more tenths to shave off... or not. What do I know

Also, nice to meet Damon (sp?) Nothing like a spiffy black STi.

I'd like to congratulate myself on my entry into the "gotta wear a helmet club"

4080 - nice to meet you! Those are some great times for your mods!

Greg - you da man... 13's, YO! You ain't a "helmet for nothin'" kinda guy anymore! 96mph too right? Sweet!

Wes - 1.70 60'... You are PIMP on the launch. You are on Dan's heels and he has .5 liter and DCCD on ya! Sweeet! 12.7's are yours again! You're on that "keep going faster every time you go the track" mode again! Sweet!

Russ - 14.1's on your mods... Awesome!

Steve - ditto the above - plus your car is just SINISTER.

Jon - Deep into the 13's now! Gotta love it! Your car launches HARD now!

Damon - nice to meet you - sweet STi!

Brandon - You're a Supra driving bastard and I have to hate you but... I admit that I'd love to run 12.9 @ 128mph! G'DAMN you fly on the top end when you can hold on!

Richard - You're dead sexy. A true pimp among hoes. YOU DA MAN. Apparently my car likes the VF34. I ran 1 psi less boost (~19) and the same map as before and managed to get these personal bests:

1/8 e.t. 8.101
1/8 mph 87.04
1/4 e.t. 12.75 (woohoo!) - more than 1 full tenth better than b4
1/4 mph 105.67 (double woohoo!) - 1.5+ mph faster than b4

Thanks for all the encouragement, Guys!

The place was DEAD and you could run whenever you wanted (no lines). I got to the track, signed in/got my number, and made a pass all so quickly the shoe polish ran on my window cuz' it was still wet!

It was HUMID and NASTY though... I bet we would have all done better if this were the middle of winter.

Saw a black SRT4 run tonight... Not bad - 14.6 @ 95 or 96mph IIRC.

I killed a BSM Mustang with a 12.85 to his 13.6 (I've seen him run LOW 13's on slicks so he must have been on street tires) and Wes "punked" one of the BSM Camaros. I'll let him tell you all about it.

damn... he beat me... hehehe.

Richard: Though my car launches hard, each time I have to let the car rest for at least 20 minutes after so that I can cool down the car. I get scared everytime since I could start snapping diff's with the new torque that I have

Well let me say this... The upgraded TC was well worth every penny that I spent and the time I waited to install it... The car cruises at about 3K and I'm immediately in BOOST every time I step on the peddle! I love how the car feels and I must say that everyone that has one in the mainland was right... it is a completely different car now! I smile everytime I drive it!

Tonight was the first night that I was able to get a time slip and I must say that I'm pretty impressed with the times I got considering that my ECU still has to learn an aggressive map again. From 2.6 60' to 1.8 60' and no lag when I get off the line.

Oh did I mention that I launch at 16lbs of BOOST!

I suggest this to other i-clubbers here in Hawaii that chose to be different and get a 4EAT. The first mod that you should do to your car is to get an upgraded TC from Protorque.

The best that I was able to run according to time slips was:

1.543 - Reation
1.856 - 60'
8.662 -1/8 ET
77.72 -1/8 MPH
13.705 - 1/4 ET
98.05 - 1/4 MPH

According to everyone at the track that I spoke to the announce said that I ran at 13.17 but the time slip actually said 14.1... don't get it. Oh well there's always Friday!

only thing that sucks though is that I lost my MPH

I think after the ECU learns a bit I'll be able to get my MPH back!

Hey guys! Shoot, last night was so cool! Great seeing all you guys & meeting Jess! Congrats to all the "new best" times. I was stoked to finally get into 14.1 after leveling off at 14.2 & 14.3 the last two outings! Thanks for all your support!

Richard, Jon, Wes, Greg...you guys are my heros. When I grow up I wanna be just like you!

Yo Steven, 13's on stock boost, baby! We gonna get some!

It's back on the car. I already had a helmet. I've had it in the car for over two months waiting for when it would be required. So rice it was sad. Now I can wear it with pride all the time. The guys at the gate gave me a really funny look when I drove up to work this morning

hey Jon, ... don't worry about the MPH, ... with the better 60's you're getting, it's going to be lower anyway!

Congrats Greg! Welcome to the club! The only downside is you've lost the element of surprise. When you strap that helmet on, the guy next you is gonna know you mean business.

Jon, you sneaky bastid!
Trying to be all quiet about the TC install, and then busting 1.8 60's in the auto. Woot!

Richard, looks like the pep was for real. Those are damn good times, especially in the 1/8. You're approaching 7's and that mph is close to what I was trapping stock.
