will adding a front sway bar with a rear make it not oversteer as much or will it help with overall handling

my understanding is that it would be best to have both front and rear aftermarket bars for more neutral handling

Is it possible that you are just trying to push your car to hard? i mean most people don't take a turn and then spin out on public roads if they aren't ripping it. sounds to me like you need better contol over your car. JMHO. getting better tires and a rear sway will help but not if you are going beyond what your car can handle. i would suggest going out to auto-x on the 14th and getting a better feel for your car and what it is capable of. that way you avoid totaling your car. again just my $0.02

^^^Damn right...the biggest mod of all is LEARNING TO DRIVE.

BTW...curbait's first post is right on the money. You can make these cars step out by either tapping the brakes or lifting throttle when you're into your turn.

Best strategy that I've seen is to go in slow and exit hot.

auto-X august 14th.....why dont you test your car there instead of on the streets....IMHO

just remember the way your car performs...depends on 10% car/car modifications and 90% driving skills...

^^ not to beat a dead horse, but learning a car's capabilities stock will make you appreciate what mods are helping and what handling gains are hurting you. different driving styles require different set-ups. (ie.- understeer/oversteer.) hope this helps...i agree with blake pangster on this one, better slow in and exit fast, than fast in, and dead out.

I would encourage you to test your skills on the track w/your current setup and learn how your car behaves. Your gained understanding of your car and your skills will be valuable. Once you're confident in both, then add some mods and track it again. You'll feel the difference and appreciate the change in your car's character.

I've autoxed a stock Forester. It was good fun, but if I hadn't done that, I may not have appreciated my current mods as much.

ps, Plus AutoX is CHOKE fun!

chris brings up a good point that is often overlooked. you really need to drive your car stock and get a good feel for it. then add parts one at a time to make sure the car is behaving the way you want it too. you never know if one part is going to make the car perform better or worse if you put them all on at the same time without getting a good feel first. glad to hear your not street racing but with the rash of i-clubbers totaling their cars just driving, i'd say better safe than sorry.
