I was thinking the other day that I should get some kind of alarm but then I thought I live on base my car is safe WRONG got woken up this am by my neighbor saying I think somebody broke into your car and sure enough he was right. They pried the window out slipped their SH!*Y meat grabbers in unlocked the door and went to work luckly they only got the speaker box,amp, trashed my dash trim pried radio with a screw driver which there were only two more screws and they would have had it. I think somebody spooked them because they didn't take the two pairs of Oakelys one pair was sitting on the center console by the shifter. They left my $140.00 pair that were in the storage compartment in the dash. They didn't take my radio but they didn't have to screw it up if they were not going to beable to get it. So now I need to go to Subaru and price a center dash cover, a new window seal, and the base has to pay for all of it which is the only reason I am not wanting to kill somebody. The cops on base have their hands fullthey have had a rash of break ins somebody actually had a video camera watching their new BMW and it caught the little bastards so hopefully they will be caught. So if anybody lives on Hickam or any other base be careful I don't want what happen to me to happen to somebody else. F#$kin kids who have nothing else to do for summer break. So everybody be watchful. This is for them...

wow on base. those kid's days are numbered. pretty small community to start a string of breakins.

 

Not so rare. A few months ago some kids went crazy on schofield. I know of at least 3 cars vandalized/stolen/broken in to in A-Quad alone.
