Thats what ive read about uppipe installs. Some subies come out fine, others cant without jacking up the motor. Coming out the top is a no go as turbo in the way and i dont want to mess with the rubber intake.

I did my lgt and a friends legacy gt too with some resistance, but they came out. Yesterday, trying to take out the uppipe was a no go. I got as far as clearing the power steering line, but the top flange just had no space to come out the bottom. The egt clears, but the top flange hits the block no matter how i wiggle it out.

Send me your address too. I wouldn't mind checking it out. If worse comes to worse, taking the turbo off isn't that bad. I have some silicone and a make shift rubber puller to slide the inlet back on the turbo. Plus, trying to earn some brownie points so I can possibly score your stock mid-pipe.

Thanks everyone for the advice and help.
Took off passenger engine mount bolt and jacked up transmission housing with block of wood. Uppipe came out after rotating it. Top flange had to clear the block. Just got to put the downpipe back on tomorrow as i ran out of daylight and time to feed the babies and put them to sleep. Hopefully the 2.2kohm resister mod works for up pipe and PDE downpipe o2 bung wont throw any codes for the sensors as i dont have an ap.

Goku4 pm me this weekend and we can work something out unless you're close to salt lake area to pickup the midpipe.
