Jacking the car up?
Ok, newbie question
Where are the proper points on the car to jack it up. I hear people saying to read the manual but im pretty sure all mine says is to use the side pinch weld seams under the doors. Now im guessing the notched pinch welds under the doors are the proper spots for the jack stands, no? As for lifting the front you use the metal plate behind the oil pan?
And for lifting the rear you use the rear diff like this?
I dont feel so good about lifting the car by the rear diff.
Are these the proper spots for an 02 WRX? Thanks

manual says use the pinch welds to jack up the car. whats not to understand? cut a small block of plywood to keep the jack from scraping off the paint. if are not exprienced wit jacking up cars get some one that is to show you how to do it safely. you can not bench press your car!
