well I finally did it
got this car 6 days ago so i figured that it was time to do donuts, a lot of them all in a row without letting the car cool down. I was having too much fun to think. When I was finished the steerign wheel was very hard to turn and there was fluid leaking. Something is going on with the power steering. Taking it to Subaru tomorrow and telling them that I was making a U-Turn (which is kinda true) and that it just got all hard to turn and that i dont know what happened.
Hope this works under warranty.

Sounds like you should have read the owners manual prior to doing the donuts. Holding the steering wheel at full lock for more than 5 seconds (I believe is the number they use) burns up the power steering pump because the full lock condition cuts off the cooling fluid.
If they warranty it I'll be amazed.

its was a very stupid thing to do and trust me I am never going to do it again. After this I will be reading the manual. I bought the car used so i have a 30 days they fix anything so they are doing it under warranty for me.
Does holding it at less the full lock have the same effect. Not that I am going to try it again, I'm just curious.

not too smart, BTW a lot of SOA employees frequent these boards. its people that abuse manufacturer warranties that cause us bigger problems in the long run. Myself and many others have been "pooled" into the same group as abusive drivers and have been denied warranty service because of people taking advantage. At least be honest, Karma always comes around to bite you in the a**!

Nice Work!
If they don't cover it you might want to check this auction out.

Axles can go pop.. just like the weasel.
Interesting; I know for a fact that employees of Subaru frequent the boards and print out posts like the above
. Ah well; you are one lucky sob; but do realize that the wrx isn't made to do donuts man, especially with stock axles; i've popped one already, and replaced it myself with an aftermarket pair. PITA but whatever.
