Sounds like you should have read the owners manual prior to doing the donuts. Holding the steering wheel at full lock for more than 5 seconds (I believe is the number they use) burns up the power steering pump because the full lock condition cuts off the cooling fluid.

If they warranty it I'll be amazed.

What were you thinking? I just don't see a point why people would do such things, like doing doughnuts.

I know that doughnuts can be fun and I do them occasionaly, but what I don't get is why people try to scam SOA by saying that the failure of a certain part happend under normal use. As has often been said, if you play you pay.

not too smart, BTW a lot of SOA employees frequent these boards. its people that abuse manufacturer warranties that cause us bigger problems in the long run. Myself and many others have been "pooled" into the same group as abusive drivers and have been denied warranty service because of people taking advantage. At least be honest, Karma always comes around to bite you in the a**!

Axles can go pop.. just like the weasel.

Interesting; I know for a fact that employees of Subaru frequent the boards and print out posts like the above . Ah well; you are one lucky sob; but do realize that the wrx isn't made to do donuts man, especially with stock axles; i've popped one already, and replaced it myself with an aftermarket pair. PITA but whatever.

Yeah, you really don't want to do doughnuts in any AWD car. Find a crummy old RWD car and do doughnuts in that...respect the Subaru and it will stay loyal.
