Well it finally happened.....

The story begins about 2 years ago. Little did I know but the day I bought a 1984 chevy beauville my life would be radically altered. I purchased this dream machine for $500 from a good friend of mine. It was a little rough around the edges, especially with the Toyota sized dent in the sliding door but it ran like a top. My intention of buying it was to haul music equipment around because it didn't all fit in my Wrx.

That's where things changed, my band picked up some steam so it was time to hit the road. And what would we take? The beauville of course!!! This van carried us literally around the country......TWICE!! Sure, the inside is full of **** drawings in every imaginable form, there's is enough DNA inside of it to father at least 50 children, and it's had about 18 sets of used tires but it carried us safely(ok maybe not) and without argument.

Besides routine oil changes and brake pads the only other work done to the van was: a fuel pump, and seals in the front of the transmission. In all it cost about $600. This van would not quit!!! Until yesterday......

About 2 months ago it developed a slight rod knock. Knowing it's time was up and not wanting to scam somebody I decided I would drive it until it quit! I always made sure it had plenty of oil in it and kept an eye on the oil pressure gauge.

Well Yesterday I hop on the freeway to head home from work and I notice the knock is getting worse. Knowing it is time to let go I turn around and start heading towards the pick and pull. I didn't quite make it. Pick and pull payed me a handsome $340 for my beloved. I feel like they got a steal

And if you think that is remarkable in itself, boy have I got one last zinger. This van was my DD for a 9month stint while my subby was down and again for the last 3months. Talk about reliability!!

You will forever be missed!!!
