I thought the same when I was 22... now that I'm 30, my tastes have changed a bit. Most ppl won't even notice at a glance. It's a 300hp performance car that you can take a 50" flat screen home with. How cool is that? I mean, it might not get you chicks as much as a ferrari design, but I don't buy cars so I can pick up chicks.
And yes I know, I know, it looks like a mazda 3. But a completely different animal inside.

I don't think Mazda has made anything good since the rx-7. Even then, it's a rats nest of wires under the hood and a single turbo conversion or a V8 small block is the only way to go.

Yup, the 'boy racer' has 'grown up'. Kinda like me.
The current STI is just a bit too raw for me. The new STI would be a really nice compromise between the old version and my S4.

So you gonna just trade in the S4 if you don't find a buyer soon? I'm tempted to sell or trade in my '06 RX-8 (less than 5,000 miles) for a STi but I don't think the boss (aka wifey) would approve. Since we've been married (6 years)I've owned two MR-2s, a WRX, a Porsche 944 and now the RX-8.

Saw one driving down Kapiolani Blvd yesterday near Ala Moana. Had the shipping paper on the hood and stuff but the car distinctly stood out. It was WRB on golds. It does look nice in person, I'd personally have to go for a dark color with it's new body style but definitely stands out from a Mazda 3.
I am entirely sold on the design on the new WRX/STi. I definitely don't doubt the performance of them. It took me a while to warm up to each of the design changes throughout the years. Even with my bug-eye, i just grew to like it and with some cosmetic changes it was much better.
I am guessing the Feb 2, is a nationwide launch date. If so there is a Subaru dealership about walking distance from my place. I'll probably go take a look at one.
Probably won't pick one up though, just look... maybe test drive..

Maybe Servco is trying to release it when the Waialae branch re-opens. The reno seems complete, but no cars on lot yet... See a bunch of new subies up the street where Subaru once used to be.
