Installing Stock BOV :help:

Well I am removing the HKS BOV and reinstalling the stock one?

The clamp that holds the recirc or plug on aftermarket BOV's, will I still need that same clamp when installig the Stock BOV? The reason I ask becuase it is a pain in the @$$

Could I use the same kind of clamp that holds an intake?

Also if anyone is free and bored wants to help let me know.

Ok. Just figured out the clamp isn't the real problem. It is putting the rubber hose onto the bottom of the stock BOV. What is the best and easiest way to put the rubber hose back on the stock BOV?

Finally figured out the stock clamp, it was a pain. We got the hose about 95% on the stock BOV, and just stuck the clamp on. Besides that everything is running. thanks for the help.

Don't know how to take one off let alone put one on. Hey what are you doing with the BOV?

saliva...or what I use...a little bit of silicone spray on my finger...

lightly put it on both the bov recirc elbow and inside of the hose...

grab the hose, insert the BOV elbow...rotate it back and forth to get it in...

position the bov flange and start both screws...finger tighten...

grab the hose as best you can and pull it up toward the top...until the hose touches the top of the elbow...tighten your new clamp...and two flange screws...

The first time I did it, it was kind of tough...trick is to do it when the engine is warm (not hot!)...the hose is very soft and pliable then...now, I can change out my bov (I do often) in about 5 minutes or less...I have the stock, HKS SSQV, and APS dual vent bov...each has a different sound and purpose...right now, I have the HKS on...without the Recirc hose (had it 100% recirced last week)...but I missed the screetch sound...probably get tired of this in about a week and thrown on my APS...I used to do this with exhausts as well...but alas...I cannot do this anymore due to my proprietary downpipe...but I do take my silencer in and out (In for Waikiki for sure!)...heh heh

^^that's the easiest way for me. Once th ic is off just put the valve in the hose, put the ic back in place, then bolt the bov back on.
