What would be a fair price for the 2nd quickest WRX on the island be mods and all at 20k miles? $21k? $20k? I didn't put any $ down on the car when I bought it so I'm still in it heavy on the loan. I always do this to myself.

I know that KBB or Edmunds are what everything are based off of, but there's another element that I think factors in...the 2f2f sort've allure the car should have for some 16-20y/o kid. The bank may not buy into that, but if the kid wants it bad enough, he'll find a way.

Thanks for the thoughts, Guys. I'll have to think about how I'm going to buy something before I even contemplate selling the Scoob. Hell with my luck the bank would gong my application on a new Kia Sephia.

Thanks, Reg. I like the new edged body style better. Is that 2002+? I know I'm a beggar so I can't be a chooser but I see some 2k2's in the low 20's. I might be able to swing that if I try hard.

THat sucks Rich. Even tho I just got my STi, I too am not as happy anymore. Maybe it's the bad publicity of these fawkin ricers and the stupid young kids. I should have bought the G35 sedan and been done with it. I'm sure the STi is the last "performance" car I will own. Next up...M45...

Yep. It seems like the ricer thing is just getting out of hand. It was all drag racing before - now it's tards on the freeway driving like maniacs endangering the public and giving us a high profile with the po-po.
I needed to get this last performance "hurrah" out of my system though. The IS300 was just too boring during the time of life when I owned it. I'm ready to settle down (in a lot of ways, but not all!)
now though.
I still want a driver's car, but nothing too hot-roddable. A4 sounds good to me.

Mike's feeling the same way with his RB25/240 if I'm not mistaken. The whole "race" thing has lost a lot of it's gloss.

You guys just need to explore the full length of you're credit-ability.
Seriously, it sounds as though many folks must have attained whatever goals they've set for themselves and their cars. Personally, I still can't drive worth a **** and I can brag that I'm as fast as about 13000 other WRX owners across the US.
My goals: to be able to drive the car as fast as I personally can, be it on the drag strip or the road course. This goal is made up of improving myself and my car. It's relatively easy to improve my car (thanks to Pentagon Federal Credit Union
), but until I can be able to set aside time in my life towards good, productive seat time, I will never reach my goal.
