I want an A4.

I want to sell my Scooby sometime soon and get an A4. I'm done with the performance thing. It only gets me into trouble. I'm ready to revert to the "pimp mode" and just cruise it.

I had a run in with a HPD cruiser tonight that leads me to believe it ain't worth messin' around on the streets anymore.

P.S. This is a drunk post, but the sentiment remains true. :P

Don't do it. I had an A4 before my REX. I can see you wanting an S4 or a G35, but not an A4.

I'd love an S4, but I could barely afford an A4.

Then wait for the SAABARU (9.2X). Think of it as a REX w/ a Swedish mother

Long story short:

I decided on a little spirited driving to blow the cobwebs out at ~1am this morning. I may have exceeded the posted speed limit by a skosh but I dunno.

Next thing I notice is a small itty bitty car in the rearview mirror (getting smaller) with it's roof mounted blue lights on.

I was already well under the posted speed limit (chillin' like a villain, you know) when the cruiser glued itself to my back bumper for a bit (lights still on - but no siren). It then pulled up next to me on the driver's side - and the officer in the passenger seat turned the spotlight on me (that sucka is BRIGHT!) and "blooped" the siren a couple of times with his arm hanging out the window giving the "WHAT?!?!?" signal.

The cruiser then decided to drop down a gear and takes off pulling off the freeway at the next exit.

My saving grace? There was a fella in the back of the car that apparently needed more attention than I did.

*PHEW*

I don't need that kind of attention. Thank goodness I hadn't been drinking excessively or really speeding by the time the cruiser was on my tail.

I just want to slow my roll and chill. I'm too old for this stuff.

At this point the $$ I spent going from stock to 12-second performance is essentially wasted because I don't ever get on it (never make it to the track). The car might as well be stock. I'm also getting tired of the clutch (erratic), the lack of engine power with the A/C on in normal cruise mode, the ricers who all want a piece, and the seat makes my lumbar scream. I'm just getting old, and while it sucks I guess I have to give in to the reality.
