I-Club Hawaii Beware (Kinda long....sorry)
sup brandon...thi situation that you're in must be frustrating...everyone can say what they want to about it but unless it happens to them, then its easy to say how they would feel one way or another...you gotta try and see it from the first guys point of view, yeah you owned up to the guy you sold it to, but he tried to put it on probably like that day and told you as soon as he found out it wasn't working, right? now imagine if he called you like 2 or 3 months down the line and told you he wanted his money back, i know you and i think that you would still give the guy his money back because that's just the kind of guy you are, but i'm sure you would have your doubts about if that guy was on the up and up...i don't think you should expect these guys to be as nice as you...but hey what goes around comes around right?
maybe a better solution would be you both eat it and maybe ask the guy to split the loss with you 50/50??
that's what i would have done...laterz!

It's not just i-club but people in general you do things a certain way and expect people to do the same in return but it doesn't work out like that. I've learned to expect the worse. Sounds ****ty but thats how people are.

true that is I once bought a perrin up pipe from a member here and I paypal'd ($120!!) him and yet I never got the uppipe and all I got was " I sent it, but I dont have a recipt or remember which carrier I sent it through." You can't trust anyone unless it's in person.

i dig the whole point about it being so long and then asking for a refund.
if you bought a bov, used it for 2 months, broke it and tried to return it, that other party would see no difference if you said to them "I installed it today 2 months later and it didnt work" (not saying that you did that, just a scenario)
I see no obligation to have to say "oh i'm sorry heres your money back" after 2 months. like others said you would never know if the guy has been using it for 2 months and it finally broke.
you also have to understand that some people may not be in a financial situation to just have an extra 100- + dollars to refund on a spurr of the moment situation like that. especially after 2 months outta the blue.

on another note, ive been there before buying a part that was a wrong part (Brad sold it to me) and i called him about a week later saying it wasnt the right one for my car (part off STi wouldnt fit on WRX). i was grateful he agreed for a refund.
but on the other hand, it was my mistake not researching enough to know that it wouldnt work. in the end I ate my mistake and didnt take the refund, and I got no grunts against Brad.

here's clue as to why it might not have worked correctly. i'm guessing that whom ever had it somewhere along the lines either let water get inside it or just left it sitting around for a while and the result can be seen below. this is what it looked like when i took it apart. keep in mind that none of this is visible just by looking at it so there is no way to have known it was bad.

it has been said many times 2 months is too long, im sure if you installed it and it didnt work then he would have warranted a refund and if not then you have every right to be angry. I don't understand why you are so lax about it and just trust everyone. It is nice to think the best in everyone, but yeah good luck with ur next transaction. I dont think he has any fault, only if he knew it was faulty. but again could have been prevented if said something in the beginning
