I could be wrong, but I don't think they are. According to the Rota site,
http://www.rotawheels.com/about_cosmic.htm

"You’ll be glad to know that Rota Wheel meets the highest international standards. Its manufacturer, Philippine Aluminum Wheels, Inc. (PAWI) holds the coveted ISO 9001 (manufacturing quality and design) certification and QS 9000 which upholds the quality standards of the Big 3 U.S. carmakers."

Whereas, the Ray's site http://www.rayswheels.co.jp/emenu/profile.html says nothing about any facilities in the PI.

Just out of curiosity how are their prices compared to subydude?

tell you the truth, i didn't ask for prices really..only the ones that look like the volk 57 s which if i remember correctly was $1300 w/o tires.don't know if thats good price cause not really interested in aesthetics yet. just walked in and looked around.didnt know they had that much variety. all ROTAS. all light weight.

talked to ownerand he said thet will be opening up a full facility in june approximately

Yea if his price is that high he won't sell to many. When I bought my first set I paid $1200 shipped with tires.

If he said $1300 w/o tires that is a rip off. Seems like he is buying the wheels from Subydude (non-wholesale) and trying to make a profit.

rota = cast wheels made in PI

Volk Racing wheels = forged wheels made in Japan

...and if you are going to buy rotas buy them from www.subydude.com he is a friend of the HIIC.

If you pay more than around $800w/shipping for some rotas you are getting JACKED!

Doesnt Rays make Volk. That is a far cry from being made in PI. Rays is one of the Top Japanese manufacuturers, from what I hear anyway.

Rota and Volk: the only two wheels I would consider for my subaru. Volk's if you have money, and Rota's if you don't.....my car had rotas

BTW not all Volks are forged.

Although Volk's would be nice not everybody has that kind of cash. And Rota's are a great alternative and I have never heard of anybody haveing issues with them but I have with some of the more expensive wheels (SSR) so just because something cost more dosen't always means it's better.
