Speedmonkee is now an official IHI Turbo Distributor
We are now an authorized IHI Turbo dealer.
If you are interested in a great deal on a VF 30, VF34, or VF22 (actually we sell all of the factory authorized versions) turbo upgrade, please contact us for special pricing for i-club members.
With this special deal, shipping is included in the price I quote you.
Contact me at Jeremyw@speedmonkee.com for your quote or send me a PM.
Please understand there is a backlog of turbo's currently at IHI.
I have a few VF34's left, but they are moving fast.
Thanks,

Best Turbo
There will be a big debate on that one. IMHO, it boils down to what you want on your car.
If you desire, bigger boost (above the 17PSI mark), then the VF 22 will suit your purpose. Handles larger boost. Suggested use with FMIC. 25PSI limit. VF22 has same turbine housing as the VF23, but with a larger compresor housing. Biggest lag of the IHI turbos. Also, you can consider other brands like PE, Garrett, AVO, etc. They go much higher in boost capability and price too! The VF line is really good for a no hassle drop in installation.
Vf23 good all around turbo - good if you don't know what you want to do with your car, but don't want to be stock!
If you desire, a good streetable car, with lowest possible lag, then the VF 24(least lag of all IHI),VF29, VF30, VF34 are good choices. VF30 is also a good choice. Shiv notes in his testing - no discernable difference when boost comes on between the 30 & 34. Others may disagree.

From what I've read, there doesn't seem to be THAT much of a difference between the IHI offerings. The VF23 and VF29 have the least lag but don't have the same HP potential as the VF22. The VF30 and VF34 fall somewhere in between and are the choice of many for its all-around qualities.

So VF22 is pretty much the big dog IHI turbo? Yea I'm pretty much looking for drop-in ease. I want something that will produce big numbers (FMIC and fuel will be added) but will still spool nice when I want an occasional light to light fiasco. It's like having the cake and eating it too. What are some numbers for wrx's with just the 22 and 23 added and necessary mods?
