EGT probe on STi - which cylinder?

I know I'll probably get a variety of answers on the other forums, but wanted to get the local experts opinions.

I'm thinking 1 or 3. Both are passenger side with 1 being closest to the passenger right?

This usually gets a lot of "different" answers.

I thought 1 is the one passenger-side front

like this:

3 <---> 4
1 <---> 2
o______o

(^ front of car^)

I think I'd put it where 1 & 3 merge together, there's an easy spot to tap there.

Yea, got my front and back reversed. Will probably go with your suggestion and catch it at the merge point.
Thanks
