Dreams of the GF8 becoming reality!

For the Noobs GF8 is the vehicle chassis code for:

G= Impreza
F= Wagon
8= EJ20T

A few months ago I picked up a salvaged 03 WRX. Shortly after Dave, Xavier, and I stripped out the WRX in hopes to install the engine, tranny, and drivetrain into my wifes 01 Impreza. Suprisingly a few weeks later I ended up buying Xaviers old 97 Impreza Wagon and my dreams of a GM swap changed to swapping a GF.

Fast forward to Fathers Day (last weekend) Dave, Shaggy, Dave (Shaggy's friend), and I moved forward into pulling the motor, tranny, and drivetrain out of the GF.

Basically I am looking at upgrading the below items into the GF chassis (all items are from the 03 WRX):

-motor and tranny
-drivetrain
-WRX crossmember
-WRX front rotors, calipers, and hubs
-convert rear drums to WRX rotors and calipers

Additionally I will be upgrading to the following:

-VF39
-STI TMIC
-STI fuel pump
-STI Exhaust (OEM)
-565cc DW injectors
-STI up pipe
-PDE down pipe
-Spec C manifold

not cheating.. just using what works. if it saves you time then it's always something that you should do unless it's NOT safe. if you do have the rear subframe from the other car that might be a better idea to use it though since the geometry of the GC rear suspension vs the GD suspension is different.

unless their the same then all is well

the rear sub frame is the same the only difference is the hanger before the muffler lines up with a wrx exhaust(it dont if you use the wrx subframe it dont line up) the geometry is all in the lateral links and control arms
