Looking for a new fun mod for my Rex. I'm Stuck on either swapping my HKS exhaust for a Nur Spec, or getting an EWG and dump-pipe. If I do get the exhaust, imma put the HKS up for sale. Tnks guys!!

 

i say wastegate as you can better control boost (especially if you got a catless dp) and it sounds awesome, ask me how i know

 

Wastegate needs tune just to note. As you will also need an (ebcs/bcs)boost controller solenoid as well. Uppipe/w EWG Flange and dump tube, coat it preferably, wastegate(38/44mm) depends on your turbo and boost range, a wastegate bracket for your turbo unless you weld the gate flapper shut. And finally a new gasket kit unless you're reusing. About $1k when all is said and done.

As for exhaust *shrug* whatever floats your boat, it's just noise in the end and doesn't matter. 3" of course


One more thing, If you find you hate the wastegate or having more issues because of it, get a wastegate block off plate/disc in place of the wastegate. Go back to a normal tune without it and your set. I've done this a few times in between tunes. Works rather well.

 

keep the wrx stock and start buying stuff for that other car listed in your garage.... stuff like... anything for a turbo ls build

 

Tnks guys!! Yea that waste gate was something I really was thinking of getting next. EWG w/ dump pipe sounds awesome. My rex already has everything to be considered a stage 3. I got my first tuning appointment at Streamline next week friday.
