about the squishy pedal

Driving home I had a LOT less brake response than when I started, but I figured it was because of the heat. Once the brakes cooled down, it got better, but no where near as responsive as they were. I had seen something about the master cylinder bracket (Oakos or MPJ) and checked my cylinder: It had worked the nut on the back side loose and I could move it a little over an inch without much pressure with my hands. I tightened it up, but brakes are still "squishy". I'm sure it's from pad wear, or boiled fluid, or any other racing-related malady, but I'm going to check out that bracket... eventually.

Bleed your brake fluid, If you're still running on factory dot3, you've probably boiled over badly and have squishy air bubbles in your lines and calipers, switch to some good dot4...

I was running the Motul but I don't think I flushed my system thoroughly and left some old fluid in the system. I bled my brakes again yesterday and I had clouds of tiny bubbles coming out.
Etchy--try bleeding your brakes again, you probably have vapor bubbles in the line.
