ok then explain in your "expert" opinion how anyone would benefit from a 6 puck clutch....well anyone that doesn't have a track car that is.

well now that the formalities are out of the way....y would you tell someone who has a stage 2 car and uses it for a DD to buy a 6 puck clutch?

There are a few people around here who use it. It is stiffer than stock, but it holds up to some of the rugged driving that a stage 2 car is going to endure. Furthermore, it's not only cheaper than stock, but cheaper to replace than stock (you can buy just the ACT disc instead of the whole clutch assembly)

while this may be true did you forget that the clamping force is much greater and is much harder to drive that a standard or stage 2 clutch? you don't live here nor understand that a DD here means traffic on a daily basis. before you go giving out advice maybe you should do some reading and not just post random crap.

and how many times do you plan on replacing your clutch? maybe for ppl like you who abuse it and don't drive so well it may be a good idea, but for the most part a 6 puck is for race use

wow, i think we need some moderators to keep this guy out of the hawaii forums....
have you ever driven a car with a 6puck? unless you have the legs of a bodybuiler with the finesse of a swan, constant day to day driving is not going to be much fun. that said, there is no reason the stock clutch shouldnt hold up to a stage 2 setup for a long time unless you do 6k clutch dumps all the time. even with 300-400 horsepower a good exedy or act stage 2 clutch should meet your needs for a DD/autocross car. plus I would rather my clutch take a bit more of the beating than my transmission and driveshafts and replace it a little more frequently. but thats just me.
