I'd buy lunch for this guy to drive in 5pm traffic from university ave. all the way to Ewa Beach with a 6 puck clutch and 10lb flywheel.

I drive a 6puck clutch damn near every day in about 20-30 minutes traffic. I've also got a StreetLight flywheel. Now, if you all have hills and ish with traffic that's a different story, but flat terrain you shouldn't have a problem with it.

so what power mods do you have that justify a 6 puck? your car should be far from needing to have the clutch replaced unless you drive like an idiot.

Forgot that I was off-topic for a bit.

Anyhow, I have a base OTS Stage 2 map, not tuned. My stock clutch holds well but I don't do any launching so that's a gray area for myself.

A lot of people reccomend a Exedy stage 2 clutch, which has more capacity for your future upgrades, since clutches can usually last over 60k.

- And that's enough time to bolt on some nice power upgrades.

Hope this helped.

turboback and 100 octane tune, 310 awhp on mustang dyno, drag strip about every 1-2 months

^^^nowhere near enough to require or justify a 6 puck. my forester would put out more than that with a 91 octane map on a mustang dyno and i'm still running the stock clutch. but keep it, and keep going to the drag strip. GL with the axle and trans replacements.

how about the fact that it's cheaper than stock...

also, what does your forester have that would make it more than 300awhp on a mustang?

and I've been pulling 1.6 60ft's for the past couple years, no problems with axles or transmissions...STi 6speed != WRX/Forester 5speed

^^^really? i have a 5spd!? i've got everything you have and then some. soon i'll get tuned and we'll see what it puts out. as for price, i don't think saving $20-40 is worth the hassle of driving a 6 puck everyday. and as for 1.6 60's it's only a matter of time. you don't have that much power so the breakage is slower. put down some real numbers and try it. ask jose here about what serious HP does at the track. either way you look at it a 6 puck is just plain retarded for a DD and your one of the dumbest ppl i have met in a long time....WTG

you know, when you personally attack someone, you not only discredit yourself, but you make yourself look like a moron incapable of having an objective conversation with someone who takes an opposing side. You basically take the focus off of the topic (since you know you aren't right) and try to shift it to a childish game. I daily drive a 6puck, my girlfriend does too, why? Cuz we can. Sorry if your toothpick legs are unable to handle it. Have a great day n00b.

yeah you're right. i guess i am incapable of having a conversation with you, not because you take the opposing side, but because you clearly have no idea what your doing and say some of the dumbest things i have heard in a while. you admit to doing stupid stuff like street racing and are now telling someone with a basic stage 2 DD to buy a 6 puck clutch. you make no sense and offer no proof y anyone at stage 2 should have a 6 puck. go look on a vendors site, almost everyone who sells the exact clutch you recommended have a clear warning that it is not for street use. so do you think that you just know better than everyone else? does your countless years of experience tell you differently that the rest of the world? i guess because you are just so darn smart i should ignore the manufacturers warning and buy a clutch that is way beyond overkill. good for you and your gf, it's your car and you can do what you want. keep not listening to ppl who know better than you do and see how long your car lasts. oh well i guess i'm just a n00b

you're getting better, at least you actually put thought into this post.

BTW, you didn't read the entire post on the last thread did you buddy?

I use a 6puck, my girl uses a 6puck too, there are a few people around here that use a 6puck daily.

Just because they say an uppipe is for offroad use only doesn't mean you can't use it on the street.

And what makes you think you know any better than I? You have a stage 2 car that isn't tuned...an 04 for that matter. And if you don't understand what is SERIOUSLY wrong with that situation, then you have some reading to do my friend.

Now, again, if it is flat terrain, then yeah, if it isn't than I'll retract my original post since this clutch would definately be unforgiving on hills everyday.
