clutch
If anyone can help me out, looking on buying New clutch kit and was wondering what brand to go with since I'm hearing different opinions. I'm looking at south bend stage 1 clutches at the moment. Any inputs?

Something's to consider is your application for the clutch. What are you using it for? Daily driving, autocross, tracking, a mix; all this matters.
Also, what are your current power numbers? What are your projected power numbers? This is also very important when choosing a clutch.
I personally have the ACT Heavy Duty Performance Street Disc Clutch with their 15lbs lightweight flywheel and absolutely love.

I wouldn't suggest anything anything stronger than OEM for the 02-03 wrx transmission.
If you make too much power for an OEM clutch to hold you are definitely making too much power for your weak@ss transmission.
Would you rather your clutch slip a little or rebuild your transmission?
But what would I know...I'm only a technician with 15 years of experience that has broken and repaired many subaru transmissions
