Dad was ex-Navy, but since Im a dependant now and that its been years now, and Ive never been to the new NEX,..can I shop and eat at the stores outside of the NEX at Pearl Harbor? Do I need an military ID? I remember before that whole place got renevated there was a dry cleaners and even food court and a stereo store that I could go to and not need a military ID to buy stuff,..I would like to go check it out, but no sense if I would need an ID,...

I heard there is (damn forgot name) health/plate lunch place like at Ala Moana next to Blockbusters at the rear of Sears side there at NEX,..They're known for selling those platelunches to bodybuilders and stuff,..What other stores are at the NEX (around the perimeter?) that civilians can shop at,..I like the meat loaf with the tomato salsa,..yum,..

I just never been there or bothered too since Im a civilian now,..and I live in Salt Lake too and yet,....

anyone can provide the 411?

I Love County Cafe is the lunch place you're talking about.

Oh and yes, the NEX is very nice...or so I've heard.

 

I only get carded when I go into the NEX itself or the Commissary. Not when I go to the foodcourt or the little shops around there.

yes you can eat at the food court without getting carded but you need military id when shopping at commisary/liquor/etc.

Just been a looooonggg time since my dependant's ID got taken away, and I dont want any hassel being at the NEX if I dont have an ID with me,..you know how it is,..plus the traffic there can get busy sometimes,...

what shops are there that people can list of that I can go to anyways,..
