long story short imma nub.
problem solved.
after using the charger, the socket broke. so now i think i need to replace the fuses

but from what i'm getting, this is the best solution:
plug in the new style fancy electronic device into the old cigarette lighter socket, you may be pleasantly surprised with the results.
