i'm a poor college student that's been slowly saving up to buy "toys" for the car. anywho, my father offered to help me out with paying for a guitar i been looking at.

that would pretty mean all the money i saved would be put into my guitar. its a really good guitar too.

i don't know what to do.
i kind of figure that since this is a car site you guys might suggest stuff for the car

haha

just thinking out loud i guess

Cars are a money pit. If I could steer my son or daughter away from being a "car nut" like me, I'd do it... It's an OBSESSION. Correction, it's a VERY EXPENSIVE obsession.

I agree with Richard. Cars can suck up a massive amount of money, I was just calculating the amount I have spent so far... .

I just limit my hobbies, to keep myself from going into the broke zone. I just have one hobby and that's the car.

The guys here have great advice on what to get for X number of dollars. I'd say just go with what you want the most, be it the guitar or car stuff.

Car stuff is not an obsession for me.. I can stop anytime.. (as you can tell I am in denial)

Do you just drive on the street or would you like to set up the car for trackdays/trackuse?

Don't spend the money if the car just gets driven on dates.

a guitar will not depreciate with time. like what everyone has been saying. if you spend lots of time in your car or at the tracks then go with mods. if you don't then go for the guitar since that will last a life time if treated properly.

Get the the guitar, the car runs fine already, but you don't have a guitar. You can have both the stock car, and the new guitar. Do that.

Buy parts, buy parts, buy parts.......

hehe just kidding. You really have to determine for yourself what you want. If you've really wanted the guitar go for it. Also, if your dad has offered to help (and he wouldnt help for your car) you should take advantage and get the guitar
