No damage, I was just removing the air baffle out and had to disconnect it to get to the nut to the side of it......Theres no damage.

When you lose a connection, i.e. unplugging something, most of the time you will get a check engine, but all you have to do is reset the brain........It's just a fail safe just in case something actaully DOES go wrong, the ce light will illuminate to let you know there is a prob....

Hey Nightfall, I feel for ya, I know I wouldnt want to be doing 70 and everything cut out...talk about the pucker factor raising to about 36lbs over.......lol shoud have the sticker, "got nuts?" haha

My cel has been on for the past month. I hope nothing serious is wrong. My car feels faster though; I guess my ecu has learned and advanced timing.

i beg to differ, thats not how Subaru's OBD II works.

does takin off the snorkus normally set off the CEL?
i think i might just leave it on for a while, cuz it hasn't come back on since i reset the computer and put the snorkus back on.

well i found out what happened

it was a misfire in cylinder 1
turned out one of my spark plugs was cracked.

i was scared something big had happened.

i heard this wrb 04 got hit pretty bad from a puddle though. sorry to hear about what happened

I'm gonna put my .02 on the snorkus again, I pulled mine, chopped the baffle portion off, put an alluminum cap where the silencer should have went, then reinstalled it......there ya go, no silencer and you still have airflow from hood intake and not that big gap between airfilter/fender. Just makes it neater and you dont have to use duct tape......
