Turbo Buick Powered Cadillac, WTF?

Now this is something you don't see every day!

Hey guys, finally the LC2 powered 2003 CTS made it to the track here are the details;

14 gal of 93 octane and 4 gal of 100 octane gas (full tank gas)

20 PSI boost

Stock Caddy rear end (3.73 posi)

Nitto drag radials

0 psi launch

Best time 11.62

Best MPH 120.92

This was just to see how the car would react at the track in basic street trim. More tuning, race gas and more boost to come. I think they only have the video of the car doing a burn out. The next time he will have a camera crew out there just to tape his car. People were going nuts over this car. His first kill on the street was a Ford Lighting, the CTS blew his doors right off. The driver of the truck told my buddy “Hmm, The new Caddy’s are pretty quick huh, I am very impressed”

Later

Wednesday, my friend Tom Osiecki the owner of the turbo v6 cts

cadillac and I made it to the track for more test and tune runs and

some trophy racing.

He and I have worked together on many other turbo projects over the

last 13 years, the cadillac being the latest.

He has spent the past several months modifying the the car to

achieve the results so far, and has contracted me to produce the

intercooler, computer and harness modifications, fuel & ignition

tables, aluminum welding, and other engineering services to complete

the project implementation in May.

hmmm.. ,i dont think thats the cads original motor i guess it counts bcoz
its still a gm. I think cts' production engine is a v6 32v "R" dohc from opel also used on the older catera. that looks like a Grand Nat'l 4.3L v6 which is a very potent engine- I could be wrong though.

Ed, you're right that is a Grand National engine - however the GN engine is not a 4.3 but a 3.8. The turbo V6 in the Syclone and Typhoon was a 4.3.

The motor in the Caddy is actually bored/stroked to a 4.1l displacement.
