Question Car won't start, or jump....

Hey all, my car won't start and when I tried to jump it I only got it to "half crank" and then only click. The battery water level was kinda low, it took about a half cup of water in each of the six cell's to top off. I then tried to jump it again and the same thing happened, half azz crank one time, and then just clicks. I tried jumping using both a 4cyl camry and a fellow WRX. Any ideas what the problem could be ? Should I try jumping with a more powerful car with a higher capacity batt ?

Thanks,
Steve

let it sit for a few minutes with the jumper cables hooked up and the supply car running. Give the battery some charge time.
Sounds like your battery is toast, however. Hawaii weather is killer on batteries. I've gone through the standard subaru battery and a Die Hard Gold in the last three years.

i'm assuming you are using a large enough gage wire for your cables. i remember once i was trying to jump start my mom's infinity with this cheapy 10ga wires that nissan gave us for free. engine would tick and that was about all. i had my friend pick up his 0 ga home made jumpers from welding cable and walla it jump started.

Bigger car, bigger battery, better jumper connection.

Chances are replacing the battery will do ya right... Might as well?

Yeah take the bettery somewhere, heck you got a couple cars right. I had the same issue back in Vegas, I had to let the car sit jumpered to another car for about 15 mins before it would crank at all.

I heard Steven's car at the lot so I'm sure his car is back to its original self.

I had that problem last year and I thought that it was the battery, but after schuman changed my battery it would still die out and would not jump also. I took it back to schuman and they changed my altenator and I havent had any problems since.
