Yes I agree with Greg that'll never happen they have no way to regulate it and I am sure they would be breaking someone's rights or something...

Much of the alarm brands that are out (Clifford, Viper, etc..) are owned by the same company. Check out http://www.directed.com/. That should list a vast majority of whats available.

On my Civic Hatch I had a Viper 300, never had a problem with it. I switched to Clifford IG7000 for the alarm on my WRX, almost 3 year and now problems with the alarm.

pretty much all alarms are pretty even in terms of keyless entry and starter kill. execpt for the cheapy $100 installed ones with only impact sensors. the price you pay for are the features and fuctions. like 2 way paging, dome light, headlight controls, etc. currently, i have a python on my subuaru. no problems with it. i added a back up battery and internal siren in case someone cuts the primary wire under the hood. the internal siren is for the theives to cause them some pain while in my car. my previous car had a clifford which was also good. the one thing i liked about the clifford was that could adjust each of the two shock sensors with the remote instead of opening up my dash to fine tune the shock sensitivty screw. i think my next alarm will be the 2way paging one. i hate it when i'm not sure if i armed my car or not and have to walk back within distance of my remote. i'm so forgetful.

I got Clifford and have had clifford in every car since 1995.

Clifford is the ****. Owned now by Directed but is still the ****.

For a regualr CLifford alarm with ignition kill and remote door locks you're looking at about $250 installed.
