Angry Broken Windshield

So I was on the H1 Westbound today picking up some stuff for my job. There was alot of tire tread on the freeway from some sort of big truck im guessing. I heard a POP and looked around to find a nice big crack in my windshield. =(

Anyone know of any places for a good price on a windshield + install, or does anyone have one laying around? I think I found a good place already but just seeing if theres anything else out there.

Im also guessing there is no way to hold anyone accountable for the $400+ im going to have to spend on a new windshield now.

Oh well. I guess thats how it is.

Some insurance companies will cover a windshield because it will impair your driving if left unfixed. I would check it out.

that sucks. when i got a crack on my windshield, i called my insurance company which is AAA. instead of paying the $400+, i only had to pay a $100 deductible.

Im hoping this is the case.
I called ace. they dont have it in stock. Told me it would be 4-6 weeks and almost $600!!

Talked to a friend who has a friend that does mobile installations and found me one installed for $380. Gonna try call insurance first and see what they say.

Wow I wonder why she quoted me so much. Maybe because you have an '02? Not that it really makes sense but maybe.

Called insurance, only way they will cover it is if I pay my $500 deductible, looks like they'd be making some money off of me....

Does anyone else think that insurance is a scam?

No idea, 02-07 would likely be the same glass as it's all the same chassis.
