Broken Windshield Trouble....Ahhh!

So I was driving down the 120 freeway on my way to fresno. I was driving behind this bus and I was talking to my girlfriend. I look up...than WAM!!! this rock hits the right corner of my windshield making a huge 1 foot by 1 foot crack/star. So I made the clam to my insurance company. They have this service where the guy brings out a windshield and replaces it in your drive way.

So 2 days later this guy brings an 04 windshield for my 04 subaru. Turns out my subaru being made during the year of 03 has a 03 windshield and if I put on the 04 one my review mirror wont fit. So I had to wait the entire labor day weekend till today.

This is the good part. The guys comes out with a 03 windshield but he brought the heated one, so Now I have to wait again for two more days. This is rediculus. I just don't like looking at my subaru better yet driving it with the windshield broke.

I was wondering if you guys think I should complain to the insurance company about there contracted work with these idiots?

Yes, complaining gets results... threats of switching to other insurance works too

If you complain, then what will you ask for?

I would ask them for a dealer-installed windshield at no extra cost.

Besides, most of these mobile installers are hacks.

I doubt most dealers know how to install a windshield properly.
