Got my pads through Eurosport. I went with Hawk street performance compound. You just need to decide what you want out of the pad, the choices are many. Although I do autocross, I did not go with the race type of pads because the car is set up for more street than anything and autocross is just one day of the month. The stock brake pads work great, but the Hawk offers a little more performance which is what I was looking for, not to mention the considerably less dust than the stocks. Good luck in your search.

it depends on what you do with the car. you shouldn't just buy any type of brake pads. if your just looking for replacements then any brand will do. i wouldn't necessarily say that your pads are shot because you hear squeaking. That could be a sign on you not properly bedding them when you first got your car, the pad could be glazed... etc. is it only when you back up? that's common for the brembo brakes.

yeah, just bec it's making some noise mean that you need to replace them. mine was doing the same thing, but when i took it to my mechanic, he told me that my brakes were still good and sent me home...he's too honest!

that does not constitute a problem. your pads are probably glazed and need to be sanded. also you might wanna check that the pad is seated correctly in the caliper. when doing that you can determine how much pad surface is left on the pad. if your pad surface is above the wear indicator then your fine. if it's near the wear indicator... please post a picture showing how much. is this the first time you've changed brake pads?

Yeah your pads are glazed...or Jon came and splooged on them.

If you're getting an upgrade I also recommend the Hawk HPS coupled with some Motul RBF600 fluid.

I've got them on the STi, they brake soooooo good, and make very little noise going forward, minimal noise in reverse...

I'm surprised nobody mentioned Carbotech. To each his own.
