Yeah they are sweet! Ah good, ordering wheels from Gruppe-S so will add the gauges. I see they are 60mm, so that will match the pod I ordered.

Ah cool they have a package deal for the control unit and the boost, egt, oil press for $795. Perfect...

Thanks for the link!

No prob Dave,

When you get them in, could you let me know the dimensions of the link unit. I have to wait a bit to order my gauges. =( I am planning, where I am going to hide everything.

Hopefully I can make it out to an install day (schedule permitting), I am not much of a mechanic, I can hold stuff and bring people drinks.

Sure will, I will need help with installation so you should come out to whatever install day I can talk everyone who has a clue (not me either) into coming to.

I was only as useful as holding Gregs up-pipe (dont get any ideas about that comment!) and a monkey coulda done that. Im not much mechanically since Im clueless what Im doing. i want to try and atleast participate somewhat during my installs so I can learn, but I dont want to slow everything down to a crawl as everyone has other things to do...

I was sold on the Blitz, but then seeing the animation of how the faces and needle disappear when the car is off and then reappear sold me. And they have PSI boost as well. Damn nice looking. Cant wait to get them in. Will send up pics once installed, but of course I probably cant figure it out myself...

Hahaha... The powerup and shutdown sequence is what got me hooked. Damn that flash animation demo. =) I think I'll just get the normal Defi-Link system instead. Who knows, maybe seeing them in your car dave, all setup might make me reconsider. I just like the defi-link because of the green illumination, so it will match the stock illumination of the gauge cluster.

Electrical vs Mechanical

So do you guys run Electrical or Mechanical? I would think Electrical would be the only one you could run in the pillar pod? Am I right?

Is EGT a Pyrometer? Trying to figure out the cost of the AutoMeter gauges. Thanks.

the boost gauges are usually mechanical (less expensive), the oil pressure, fuel pressure, egt are Electrical if you want them inside your car (a leaking oil or fuel pressure gauge inside your car is no fun).
