Back from the shop. Yet more still to do.
Got the car back yesterday. Looks pretty good.
Still need to get the mud guards installed and painted, and get the 22B vents installed and painted.
Hopefully the weather stays nice and I can take off the snow tires and wrx wheels and put the 18's back on.
Man I love that RB5.

Hydra is great.
Why do you ask?
If you hadn't heard, I got a sponsorship from TWE. They are building me a pretty awesome engine. When it gets here and I install it, I'm going to element tuning to get it dyno tuned. That should be an experience I'll never forget.

I wanted to eliminate my MAF sensor. I don't want to run into MAF restrictions with my project.
I still have my txs tuner; if I can figure a way to rig it to the hydra, then I won't have to spend the extra dough for the Hydra wideband.
Does the Hydra use a Bosch wideband that is directly connected to the EMS or does it work like the Utec that uses a separate box (the txs tuner)?
Congratulations on the sponsorship! Any details on the engine . . . cams, heads, stroke, bore, sleeved, pistons, and rods?
Can't wait till your engine arrives!
-C.

That's because, other than the RB5, it's going to look identical.
However, that's only an intermediate stage. I have a lot of other tricks up my sleeve for this summer.

As for the Hydra, it totally controls the WBO2 sensor. I'm using the NTK, but I don't think it has to be that sensor. When Phil or Andrew make the harnesses I'm pretty sure they can put the Bosch sensor wiring on it. It's a 275-300 dollar option. But I'm sure you could probably get some good $$ for your TXS thingy.
