Tires...

I have to thank Gdogg for this caz he noticed it at the up pipe install. I need to replace my tires... my rear left is balding unevenly (the interior is almost bald)... for some reason... the rest is wearing evenly. I don't know if it is alignment problem... but I have to change them just to be safe... plus those tires are too noisy...

Anyone can recommend me a nice, affordable shop for tires, mount, and balancing (besides Costco!!!)? Thanks.

Firestone out in Waipahu...reportedly if you have connections you can get a discount card for that place.

Dude, that definitley sounds like a problem with your alignment. The way you are stepping it up with you mods you need to pick up some good tires. KDW2's all the way.

Cool, thanks guys... hey Nate... how much are those KDW2s? I'll go to my dad's mechnanic and check the alignment first.

I found out those KDW2 cost some pretty pennies. I'm currently looking at Toyo Proxes 4. I read they have good wear and good performance. And the price ain't too bad either.

^^^Those are pretty good all-season tires.

Yeah the wear is good and guess what...hardly any tire noise!

Well, it really depends on what alignment you plan to run, tire life and cost.
My choice:
1. Kumho V700 Expensive TW 50
2. Toyo RA1 Just as expensive TW 100
3. Falken Azenis Sport Cost effective, still a good track tire, not the greatest in the rain. TW 200
4. KDW's a little more expensive, not as good on the track, but better all weather tire.
5. Nitto Neo Gen TW 280, last long, great for aggressive camber. Relatively cheap.

Just my 2 cents.

Go w/ KDW's or S-03's. You won't be disappointed.
