Which headers do you have? Are they 4-2-1 or 4-1? What are the pros/cons for both types? Why'd you select the one you have?

For everyone else, here's a cool website:

Mr Graham Bell says that that's his choice for cams around 240dg@.050 lift. I checked out a vendor's webpage and the 4-2-1 are all over $1k and the 4-1's are below $500.

Hmmmmm.

Pat,

mine were no where near $1000. They were $500 and change, then add shipping. I'd coat them while you're at it.

Question for ya Pat...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the 4-2-1 are headers like what Ultimate Racing has, as compared to 4-1 which are like the Gruppe-S headers? I've been trying to find the big difference besides design here, but I haven't been able to find a lot of data. I'll let you know if I do!

I can

let you know now. Some of the 4-1 headers are not equal length. So you get the "Suby" sound, but don't get the even exhaust pulses. Is it important? The WRC car uses equal length headers (Maxim I believe), so I'm guessing so. Check this thread for some info on headers
