DAMN! It needs to be mandatory to have a fire extinguisher in your car. That may be the one good idea that the rice kids have.

Thats not always true. It just depends on where the car was hit and how hard. Maybe the brakes are still good?

Well I wouldn't take the whole car, but I guess I just love *****, ahem, I mean ***** cars. I'll take any salvagable part off of them. I mean there are probably all kinds of good stuff on that car. Oh and for everyone who doesn't track their cars. I say do what you want. I get enjoyment from modding the car and feeling it at the track. If you get enjoyment by spending money on parts that aren't going to change how the car daily drives, or increase gas mileage then have fun. Just enjoy your car .

Trust me, the whole car burnt to a crisp. The car was on fire for 10 minutes before HFD got there, then they ran out of water. It took another 10 minutes for the next fire truck to arrive. Total burn time, 20-30 minutes.

So was this the big plume of smoke that we saw from vakamon on Saturday afternoon?

If so, then hell yeah that thing burned for a while, it seemed almost like 20 minutes before we started hearing sirens.

Amen, my asian brotha. Its not like I'm spending other ppl's money, I'm spending my own hard-earned money and I can do(or not do) whatever the hell I want with it so long as it's legal. Like you said, testing its capabilities can **** you and your car over, and I aint exactly rich so I can't and don't want to spend money just to have it fixed when it didn't have to happen in the first place.

Yes, I thought it was the cemetary fire... but it was a fried STi... sad. The Aspen White is Charcoal Black... I doubt anything is salvageable.

Amen to dat! On the other point about having a performance car and not doing anything about...to each his own. As for myself, I am 42 years old and can say been there done that already. I did my fair share of racing, modding and such when I was in my teens and twenties. But the cars back then was not that expensive initially. Start out with an STi at 32K plus, add a wife and two kids, mortgage and such and your whole outlook changes. To quote my wife: "you know what your car is capable of, you don't have to show everybody, he's an idiot, just let him go!" Words to live by folks.

Unhappy

its sad to read stuff like this happening with that STI. We should keep it safe and not be labeled as another "racer freaks".
be safe safe guys lets be responsible and always think that we share the public road with others that just want to get home.

Thing is that i-Clubbers only make up around 1/5th of all WRX/STi owners on the island. It's that other portion that are most likely the fools who make us look bad.
