anybody has extensive knowledge of HID lights? i just picked up some lights with hid's but its missing the ballasts, i'm trying to find out if any other ballasts will work with the factory bulbs with some custom modification, any help is appreciated, thanks!

good luck dude... like I told you on the phone early this morning.

you cannot use the lights without the proprietary ballast since the headlights are made to work with those only.there were couple people before (in the past) that sold just the ballast on ebay. you could also search i-club and nasioc for the ballast.

i'm thinking my friend is a good with HID's, hopefully he can custom fab something together and hook up something from another diffrent ballast, but yeah hopefully i hope

 

i had to buy an entire new set cause my ballast went out...what brand is it? i would be careful because the bulbs are very delicate...you don't want too much fluctuation in power with HID...the ballast are the things that sustains the power flow after the ignitors light em up....good luck though...
